Planning Your First Corporate Event

What To Consider When Hiring Seats For Your Wedding Event

Choosing to hire furniture for your wedding event can help reduce your workload before, during and after your big day. In most arrangements, the hire company will deliver the furniture, organize the setup and collect the seats once your event is done. All you have to do, therefore, is select the right seats for your event and make a few other decisions related to seating plans. Read on to see what you need to do.

Pick the chair style you want to go with

Depending on the 'theme', you'll have to decide between classical chairs or contemporary chairs. You also need to consider whether you want to go with padded or non-padded seats. If you want to ensure maximum comfort for your guests, you can also get benches or lounge seats (though not very common). Your decision here should be guided by what goes best with your setting and the location of your wedding and whether it's a pool wedding, garden wedding, beachfront wedding etc. Businesses like Chair Covers & Candelabra offer a number of different styles to help fit any wedding's needs.

Dress your chairs to fit the wedding theme

You can also choose to have your wedding chairs dressed. Dressing is great when you want to accentuate the look of your seats with a touch of colour or fashionable style. In some cases, you can incorporate seat covers to change the colour of your seats to something that better fits your wedding theme. If you're going to get seat covers, make sure they help create colour harmony with your table covers, dress code (if any) and other decor such as flowers. However, if you like the seats as they are, you can avoid adding any dressing.

Choose the right number of seats to fit your guests

There are two ways to go about this. You can either hire a specific number of chairs or go for a prepared hire package offering you a specified number of chairs. Whatever you go with, make sure you have enough seats booked for all your guests. You can also choose to seat only a certain portion of your guests if the ceremony won't be long. However, plan to get enough dinner seats for every guest come reception time as everyone will need a place a place at the table.

Decide on the seating arrangement

Last but not least, let the hire organizer know how you want your seats arranged. For the reception area, choose what spacing you want between rows, how many seats you want per row and whether you want divided aisles on each side for easier movement. Indoors, plan how many seats you want per table to ensure you distribute the guests evenly in the room.

Remember that seating plays a crucial role in the overall success of your wedding and reception. It determines how comfortable your guests will be and how well they socialize (due to proximity and chair arrangement).
